Forum Revival - photo storage

Sun Dec 30, 2018 12:37 pm

Hi all,

Since photo bucket decided to go all mental and want money for hosting photos and held them at ransom killing off the forums, I think we should evaluate the situation of photo hosting so that we can bring back the forum as much as possible and keep the photos free.

I am more than happy to spin up a web sever to host photos etc for us to use, however this will incur a cost on my part. This is not too much of an issue to me, but would like to make sure that this service would get used.

Also at the moment I am still in the research stage of this, and looking into the options that we have, but know Ryan will advocate the use of Amazon Services etc.

If anyone wants to input ideas they are more than welcome, and we shall get this going, and never be held to ransom again.

I've not had photobucket issues, not sure why...
Anyhow I notice photobucket are reducing their free storage from 10 gig to 2gig next month.

No worries,

Well I'll still keep working on this anyway as it will come inuseful for some other the other stuff I am working on at the moment in the background.

If it does become needed the option is there :D
